Paul L. Thrasher

Paul Lee Thrasher, Sr., 78, of 30 Pennsylvania Avenue,
died
Monday at Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health
two and
on-half years.
A native of Deer Park, he was born November 7, 1892, a
son of the
late Benjamin T. and Margaret J. (Williams) Thrasher.
Mr. Thrasher was a retired carpenter for the Baltimore
and Ohio
Railroad and a member of Lodge 1028, Brotherhood of
Railway
Maintenance of Way; a 50 year member of Oakland Lodge
192, AF&AM;
the South Minister Presbyterian church, Woodman of the
World, Odd
Fellows Lodge of Keyser and an honorary member of the
Cumberland
Outdoor Club.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Frances C. (Dyche); six
sons,
Paul Lee, Gene E. and Glenn E. Thrasher, all of Cumberland;
Charles T. Thrasher, LaVale; E. Elroy Thrasher, Midland,
and Rev.
Richard D. Thrasher, Oldtown; two daughters, Mrs. Naomi
M. Smith,
Bowman’s Addition, and Mrs. F. Marion Anderson, Dublin,
Va.; two
brothers, J. Robert Thrasher, Deer Park and Ralph H.
Thrasher,
Dayton Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Weiprecht,
and
Miss Ada G. Thrasher, both of Naples, Fla.; 15
grandchildren and
one great grandchild.
The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where the
family will
receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 1 p.m. Rev.
W.
Randolph Keefe will officiate and burial will follow in
Sunset
Memorial Park.

Services for Paul Lee Thrasher Sr., 78, of 30
Pennsylvania
Avenue, who died Monday, will be conducted at the
Scarpelli
Funeral Home, today at 1 p.m. by Rev. W. Randolph Keefe.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
