Martha Turney Friend, aged 89
years, died this morning, December
28, at her home in Friendsville where she had been a
patient for
the past nine days. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and
Frances Meyers Turney and was
born in Friendsville October 8,
1872. She had been
a resident her entire life.
Her husband, Harry Friend, died in 1952. She is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Chauncey M.
Friend,
grandchildren, and six
great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Leighton Funeral home in

Friday afternoon.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday
afternoon from the Blooming Rose
