Obit

James Friend, resident of Hutton for the past forty-five years,

died Wednesday morning, March 5, at 3 o'clock, at his home, after

an illness of two years.

Deceased was born August 8, 1891, at Friendsville, and was aged

66 years, 6 months and 27 days.

He was a retired coal miner and a son of the late John and Mary

Markley Friend.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs.. Ora Hileman Friend, of Hutton; a

son, William James Friend, of Vermillion, Ohio; two daughters,

Mrs. John A. Niner, Keyser, W. Va.; Mrs. Raymond Bucklew, Terra

Alta; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Savage, Oakland; a brother, George

Friend, of Friendsville, nine grandchildren and one great

grandchild.

The body was taken to the Fike-Watson Funeral home in Terra Alta,

from which place funeral services will be conducted on Friday

afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. S. D. Sawyer, Methodist pastor

there, officiating. Interment will be in the Terra Alta

cemetery.
