MRS. ETHEL FRIEND

Mrs. Ethel A. Friend, widow of Ernest Friend, Friendsville, died

last Friday morning, August 3, in Uniontown, Pa., hospital where

she had been a patient about a month.

She was a native of this county, a daughter of the late James and

Minnie Friend. She was a member of the Christian church at

Friendsville.

Surviving are six sons, Alvin and James Friend, Friendsville;

Ernest Friend, Wellsburg, Pa.; Claude Friend, Coca, Fla.; Simeon,

Uniontown; and Raymond, Dillonvale, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs.

Minnie Thomas, Coca; Mrs. Violet Frazee, Friendsville; and Mrs.

Edith Frantz, Washington, D.C.; two brothers, George Kissmer,

Friendsville and John Kissmer, Cheat Haven, WV; a sister Mrs.

Margaret Holmes, Fairchance, Pa.; 38 grandchildren and 19 great

grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Newman Funeral home in Friendsville.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock

from the Christian church in Friendsville with Rev. H. B.

Rittenhouse, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Blooming

Rose cemetery.
