Cornelius W. Friend, aged 72 years, son of the late Ira
E. and
Clara B. Friend, died at his home on Blooming Rose
Tuesday
afternoon after more than a
year's illness of cancer of the
stomach. Mr. Friend was twice married and is survived
by his
widow and several children, both
sons and daughters, all of whom
are grown. He was a progressive farmer and a member of
the
Blooming Rose M. E. church for many
years. His funeral will
occur this afternoon from his
late home with interment in the
churchyard.
