Miss Anna Friend, daughter of the late

Isaac and Elizabeth Markley Friend,

died last Friday morning, January 19,

about 7:40 o'clock, at the home of her

cousin, Leroy Friend, near Glendale

Bridge. She had been in ill health

for about two years.

She was born March 10, 1857. She

had been a member of the Pentecostal

church for 20 years and funeral services

were conducted Monday morning at

10 o'clock from the Stoney Green

Pentecostal church with Rev. J. C. Skipper

officiating. Interment was in the Bray

cemetery near the Power House.

Cousin are her nearest surviving

relatives. (Dated January 25, 1940)
