OWEN FRANTZ

Owen Frantz, 87, Friendsville, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at

Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

Born Jan. 1, 1913, in Friendsville, he was the son of the late

Charles Thayer and Edith (Friend) Frantz.

He worked for many years for the Frantz Lumber Company, and

retired from the Superior Sand Company of the General Paving

Company of Morgantown. He was a member of the Friendsville United

Methodist Church and Woodmen of the World Lodge 45.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ruth (Schroyer) Frantz,

and one daughter, Dorothy Louise Frantz, Morgantown.

Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville,

where a memorial service was conducted Wednesday evening by

members of WOW Lodge 45. A funeral service was conducted earlier

today, Sept. 21, with the Rev. Robert Milliren officiating.

Interment was in the Blooming Rose Cemetery.
