At the request of V. H. Ross this deed was recorder July 22nd 1859-

THIS DEED, made this ninth day of February, in the year   eighteen hundred and fifty nine by James Ross and Ann Ross his wife, Andrew C. Friend and Mary E. Friend his wife, William Ross and Rachel Ross his wife, Nelson C. Kyle and Rachel I. Kyle his wife, Benjamin F. DeHavan and Susannah DeHavan his wife, all of Allegany County, in the State of Maryland, heirs of Henry Ross, late of the said County and State, deceased.

WITNESSETH, that, in consideration of one thousand dollars, the said James Ross and Ann Ross his wife, Andrew C. Friend and Mary E. Friend his wife, William Ross and Rachel Ross his wife, Nelson Kyle and Rachel I. Kyle his wife, and Benjamin F. DeHavan and Susannah DeHavan his wife, heirs of Henry Ross, Deceased, doth grant unto Henry Ross, of said County and State, all them lots on parcels of ground which is described as follows, being parts of three tracts of land, lying in Allegany County and State, all them lots on parcels of ground which is described as follows, being parts of three tracts of land, lying in Allegany County, State of Maryland, the first is all that piece or parcel of land on both sides of the National Road, being all the land west of the Cove Road of the Perry Shultz tract, which was conveyed to Henry Ross by Perry Shultz and wife, And also, two fifty acre lots which was conveyed to Henry Ross by Andrew Diehl and wife, by deed dated May the fourteenth, eighteen hundred and fifty two, which tract, or lots of land, is known as follows, they being the same lands or lots that Hammond and Johnson sold Adam Yeast, and Adam Yeast conveyed the said two lots of land to Andrew Diehl, by his deed bearing date the 11th day of October 1834 which lots are known and described as follows, that is to say, Lot number two thousand four hundred and forty, in the following boundaries, Beginning for said lot at a Locust Post, and running from thence West one hundred perches, then North eighty perches then East one hundred purches, then by a straight line to the beginning, warranted to contain fifty acre: Also, lot number two thousand four hundred and fifty nine, and adjoining the above described lot, and beginning for the said lot at a Birch and running from thence North eighty perches, East one hundred perches South eighty perches, then by a straight line to the beginning, warranted to contain fifty acres; And Also, another tract or parcel of land which, James M. Lehleigh, Trustee of David Clegged and Samuel B Clegged, conveyed by his deed of the 13th of June, 1857, being adjoining the above described lands and beginning for the said part piece or parcel of land, at the end of the first line of a piece or part of the said tract of land, conveyed by David Clegged and Samuel B. Clegged to William McGittegin, and running thense with the second line thereof South thirty four degrees West seventy six perches, to the end of the said second line, then with the third line of said whole tract of land called Ormes Addition, East one hundred and four perches, to the end of the fourth line of a piece or part of the said whole tract, of land conveyed by the said Cleggeds to Samuel Lechel, and running the said fourth line and part of the third line thereof, North fifty six degrees West ninety perch, North thirty eight degrees West seventy six perches to the beginning, containing eighteen acres and one half of an acre.   And the said James Ross and Ann Ross his wife, Andrew C. Friend and Mary I. Friend his wife,   William Ross and Rachel Ross his wife, Nelson C. Kyle and Rachel I. Kyle his wife, and Benjamin F. DeHaven and Susannah DeHaven his wife, heirs of   V. Henry Ross, late of Allegany County, decest. Covenants that they will warrant generally the property hereby conveyed.
