“The details herein are believed to be authentic.  The material was accumulated from a study of the research by others, by poring over family histories, by visits to burial grounds, the reading of old newspapers, clippings, and obituaries, searching through old family Bibles and records, and through the helpful clues and tips furnished by relatives, friends, and well-wishers.

 

“Especially helpful was the January 1947 work The Speicher Family by Paul E. Speicher, retired USN, (d. 3/23/1948), Morristown, NJ.  Hostetler’s Descendants of Barbara Hochstedler and Christian Stutzman was a prime source of data.”
